true story: @quidli initially started as quidli sas (the french version of a joint-stock company); however, after waiting >1 month for our entity registration + bank account creation yet still nothing, we set up quidli inc, a delaware c corp, and opened a US bank account all online in <3 days https://x.com/itsolelehmann/status/1878820386672160801

One big issue is that there is not one rule book on this for Europe. Starting a company in The Netherlands, also an EU country, takes significantly less time. So, positing the extremely long time it takes in France as a standard for Europe is not a good way of looking at it. Hiring and firing in the EU is not impossible. It happens every day. It is more humane, though, and less akin to slavery.

i'm not an expert, but i think the initial comparison still stands for example, there is also no "one rule book" in the US either as each state has its own set of rules furthermore, in the case of NL, it would still not help a FR entrepreneur as they wouldn't be able to take advantage of the faster time without legally residing in NL
