I started mining Bitcoin as a troll so that I could say I wasted more energy than I mined (which was true, back in those days when BTC wasn't even over $1K).

Been here ever since.

My other fond memory was around smart contracts, aping into the Crypto Kitties launch. Still got my gen 0 & 1 Crypto Kitties!

lmao, cherished memories man. Things seem so basic now, but back then all this was literally unheard of. Crypto Kitties was the first real gas spammer on Ethereum and they blew the gas prices sky high.

In some ways we've come so far. In other ways, shit is still the same--like trying to ape into launches. 😹

I was going to mint 4 gutter cats. I left work an hour and a half early to be home in plenty of time to mint. Sooooooo they blew it and had the contract live an hour before the mint went 'live'. It minted out just as I pulled into my driveway.
