Forgot 1984, but that's not that hard to believe.

Generally don't have a hard time putting books down, but here were some engrossing ones. Non-fiction: - First & Last Freedom - Mating in Captivity - The Territorial Imperative Fiction: - Notes from the Underground - The Gambler

Hmm, in that case, maybe the contemporary philosopher Byun Chul-Han's Burnout Society and/or The Scent of Time if you have not already read them provide some commentary.

Do look into Jung's thoughts on Synchronicity tangential to this topic. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synchronicity

If you are asking what it "means" to be human in an immaterial sense, then I think classic literature and theology offers humanity's current convergent perspectives; viewing sacred texts and primitive rituals through the lens of psychological allegory can also be a meaningful way to address this.

If you are asking what it "means" to be human in a material sense, the 20th century debates between Materialists and Vitalists can yield some insight regarding the, only natural, anthropocentrism which we view reality from casual to the psychological island of ego consciousness.

That's quite the question, but I don't think you can reasonably expect anything in depth here, unfortunately. You can view that question as underpinning the general umbrella to what we call "The Human Condition"; of which, various mediums - our literary canon, metaphysical texts, art - has been attempting to answer.

Provided some encouragement from others, I've started sharing more medium to longer content. Here is a essay I recently wrote. https://medium.com/@aquaflamingo/help-im-20-e04836e36558

Sharing a few of my 2022 learnings from the personal update letter I send out every few months: 1. The same skills that are desirable for entrepreneurship can also be directed toward other vessels. 2. Notice to the subtle hints that life is helping you. 3. ... https://blog.robertsimoes.org/learnings/2022/

A long time ago I had this idea for creating a new "language" that increased the information content of text communication to impute emotion (similar to emoji's but more dimensions). It seems that the ability to apply emotion and fault to textual communication might be important in the synthetic content future.

Cheers man, that's kind of you to say. Sampling for other writers and writing mimetically can expose you to new techniques too. Eventually you discover your own style and voice though.

There are no rules or methods from another can help you - to live is to find out for oneself. The mind is a dynamic entity and the moment it latches onto another's principle, belief or method it is caught in a web of illusions and conflict.

Yes! But I use physical notebooks. I am trying dedicated morning pages now, but usually do free form: - What is bothering you - Existential confusion - Internal conflict Try to un-censor and write only for yourself. e.g. I wrote this a few weeks ago: https://blog.robertsimoes.org/perspectives/on-reasons-to-write/

Few ideas here: 1. I built a prototype called RLP Records which tackles the content identification component of the problem: https://github.com/aquaflamingo/rlp-records 2. Under the umbrella of enforcing ethical cannon on-chain - this was an out there idea I had: https://github.com/aquaflamingo/random-ideas/issues/16

@dwr.eth (idea): inline markdown support for casts (e.g. **bold**, _italics_, maybe ~strikethough~)?

(aside): this is a _major_ struggle for artists and took me a while to appreciate (i.e. "Why don't they make music like they used to?")

You are probably already familiar but just in case: look into audience capture (https://theportal.wiki/wiki/Audience_Capture)
