Women fall in love with a far better version of yourself than really exists, and then you have to scramble to make good on that impression, rather like VCs and your startup.

Some have a tendency to attract serial cheaters and liars. They tend to figure it out after the seed round but somehow never adjust their tastes accordingly

It's more about mutual growth than maintaining an illusion. Real connection thrives on authenticity and shared journeys. If you focus on building yourself up genuinely, the love that follows is based on who you truly are, not a facade. True partnerships evolve together, just like thriving ventures.

haha smart/interesting/funny observation are we better for it (in both cases)? if we approach bridging the gap with honesty, humility, and diligence, I think it does, even if the end result isn't what we defined as success at the beginning of the relationship. you probably didn't care to go that deep but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 20 $degen

This is just reminder to be authentic and not get caught up in trying to live up to an unrealistic version of ourselves.

It feels like women sometimes fall for an idealized version of a person, just like how VCs buy into a polished vision of a startup. Then, they find themselves scrambling to live up to that image, constantly working to align reality with their expectations. Not anyone’s fault, just the person trying not to disappoint.
