Expanding on my reply there: every major societal crisis traces at least in part back to the fundamental incentive structure of our economic technology. We have to keep believing there is something truly novel and transformative here, and we have to keep doing our best to draw that potential to the surface, because the alternative is to give up on a better system, and retreat into an indefinite and bleak march into boiling oceans. We don't have a choice. Crypto has to succeed. And if it's destined to fail then I will savor the delusion while it lasts, and enjoy the fight that much more because of it.
