What if $COFFEE or $CAFFEINE became a currency with real demand bc dots can boost their activity, just like humans do? Because if they are intended to emulate human behaviour then such consumer activity might as well mirror that. Without that, I (still) lack imagination to see why my future dots should buy (aka consumer) this (beverage) coin. Imagine dots are forced to sleep for 6-8 hours and buying more coffee gives them extra playtime. That would make it real just like IRL. If it's just a gimmick then people might quickly get bored. Thoughts?

If we don't care about the lifespan of the agent could we not have performance enhancing drugs that go beyond caffeine? Caffeine is just what we use because it's a relatively safe option. 😂
