Polygon has officially made the transition from the MATIC token to POL. The update was successful. The key change will be the introduction of a new annual issue for POL in the amount of 2%. Half of this issue will be distributed among the network validators as rewards, and the remaining half will be sent to the community treasury to finance the development of the ecosystem.
