Absolutely. This cycle plays out time and time again…
Technology: “Let’s disrupt the system and empower more people”… 
The system: “Oh, this is cute… hold my beer while I use this new toy to make more billions”. 
Which begs the question… do we as a society ever really want to empower more people? Or do we just want to be among the empowered. And being early is simply a way to ride the ideology wave to personal empowerment.

Great questions raised. I am very surprised by the entusiasm for some of these events. Sure, I get the lure of the dollar-sign eyes, but is it costing us too much?
