Please learn from me and understand. There is no real monetary upside to building a community here past a certain number of followers

Because I have to get 10 likes for the same amount of points it takes any one of my competitors to get with 1 like or 5 likes

I don’t really get how the rewards work, but who cares? Here, we get money. I’m getting $10 a week, that’s better than paying for a subscription somewhere else 😉

There are 2 myths that need to be busted 1. The leaderboard rewards those with the largest followings. It does not 2. There is a viable creator economy path on here a la Substack or Patreon. There is not. You have to use this as supplementary to the existing. If I want to curate, share, and invest in creating original content, I HAVE to put in the work and go back to 0 on YouTube, Substack or other. I am in total denial of this 😩

i have to admit, I neither have the time nor the desire to go elsewhere. I only post here because it’s the only place where I learn and share in a positive environment. You think you’ll have to start from scratch again someday? I guess so… it must take a lot of effort 😬

the rules of the game appear set up to hook you, then to squeeze those who get complacent. keccers sees it more clearly than most, because she's smarter, as well as further along, as well as more willing to call it out. (six is just as smart and sees it just as clearly, but keeps quieter, for their own reasons)

Of course we can see that if you stop casting, you drop in the rankings. But does that mean we have to play the game and give in to it? I make between $3 and $10 a week, and honestly, the ranking doesn’t matter much to me anymore. At first, I played the game too, but with some distance, I started asking myself: why should I feel pressured for $5 a week? I think we should just cast about what brings us joy, without pressure. Enjoy the conversations. Discover new things. People already deal with too much pressure in crypto, no need to add more here.
