1. The first European to discover Niagara Falls on December 7, 1678, was the monk Louis Enpen, who was on an expedition on the Niagara River in North America. He described it in his book. Although Europeans had already visited the river valley, Enpen is the author of the earliest surviving documentary description of the falls.
Niagara is a group of waterfalls (Canadian or “Horseshoe”, American and Fata). Their height is 53 meters.
2. The naval base of the United States Pacific Fleet in Pearl Harbor, in the morning of December 7, 1941 was suddenly attacked by the Japanese Air Force. The raid lasted for two hours. During that time, the Japanese destroyed 4 battleships, a cruiser, 2 destroyers, several auxiliary vessels and 188 U.S. Army aircraft. Casualties in manpower amounted to 3,581 men.
