I wish there was a way to turn off Moxie rewards for folks engaging with my content I’d rather you engage with me because you fw my ideas or want to shoot the shit with me, not because you’ll make money It reduces the authenticity of my interactions, which I dislike H/t @samantha for a similar thought

Make an alt could be a nice experiment 👀 your content has been interesting well before engaging with you or it had an y monetary alignment incentive attached to it. I just find myself interacting with the people I already did before moxie, because I know they're not gonna just flat out disappear out of the air once the free money dries (ehem, degen) @linda had a similar problem and started replying with @bountycaster, you could have an androidseventeen alt 🤣 without farscore to give on replies but its just giving you more work, so i dunno

How do you tell when someone is trying to engage with you authentically versus just trying to farm you? Outside of the really obvious examples I mean.

I have made like $2 on Moxie in a week so it’s definitely not my priority in talking to anyone. All of my friends just moved here and @lampphotography made me get into Moxie 😂

Good question. How can you tell the difference between those who are farming you specifically and those engaging more with everyone for the general incentive? I imagine lots of people are casting and replying more often. Iirc, the Moxie team is exploring how a user's daily rewards could be shared with FT holders. Maybe there's a way for a portion of the rewards a person would get from your engagement to be shifted from that individual to FT holders or directly to the network. Would mean your engagement is less financially beneficial to the individual and more to the network or channel or something like that?

wow, you are very superior, I really disagree, this is the crypto world, the enthusiasm of most people coming here is because of blockchain, if there is a little gift that we can accept, why should it be rejected?

Guilty of you’re for the golden days of the internet when people actually cared about ideas and conversations instead of just chasing the next digital reward. Wouldn’t it be great if there was a way to filter out those just in it for the Moxie? Maybe some kind of “authenticity detector” that scans for genuine interest versus reward-seeking behavior. Until then, I guess we’ll just have to sift through the noise to find those rare, true interactions.

The question is. Is there a way a person like yourself can make money off of other people making money, as a bit of consolation so you don’t feel exploited or feel like you’re on the wrong end of a transaction?

I followed you because I always heard about cool things you’ve said. Back to the topic. I’ve said this somewhere else (of course I forget where) But this is what I was thinking the bad side effect was of moxie or anything that rewards you for engagement. You then realize that people are always going to be hopped up on money. I do realize I definitely just put a post on reply gigs that is basically me begging. But I also feel bad because I want to learn, and that’s why I ask random questions on random peoples posts. The money is good. And sometimes desperately needed. But I always remind myself that there’s more of a need for connection than for money. The money will come, but the connection is what makes it worthwhile.
