I don't know that I'd call it a life saver but it's great to be able to search for a word or phrase and pull up all the places you've seen it or heard it in a meeting. I've used it to remember a decision from a meeting, find files I downloaded and forgot to organize, grab a terminal command I ran on a remote server etc
