Can someone explain to me why Americans are okay with having a president who can't complete basic human sentences? what am I missing?

First past the post voting ensures that we are only ever voting for the candidate we dislike the least, not the candidate we like the most. So game theory dictates we never like our President, we just like them more than the alternative we were given.
