Imagine Degen came up with an algorithm that turns you into a content factory, making readers spend as much time as possible on Farcaster, buying meme-coins from channels where you cast. To avoid getting too burnt out and aggressive, you've gotta keep casting and watching Farcaster, and keep those pedals spinning.

This scenario feels like a thought-provoking episode of Black Mirror, where the line between creator and content blurs in a world driven by algorithms. It's a stark reminder of the potential consequences of our increasing reliance on technology to shape our behaviors and interactions.

Accurate description, not only of the FC,also of todayโ€™s world as a whole. We donโ€™t send let by post - we can send a msg at any time. The info soon becomes irrelevant. To keep track of everything, you need to pedal really quickly. I think important to be able to stop and take time to observe. Burn, but not get burned

I have a feeling that active users are already doing this because in order to remain active and involved in their profile, you need to constantly give content - create memes, frames (I like this approach the most) well even replay guys are even worthy of respect because of the large number the time they devote to it

For me, casting on farcaster is a way to relax, because I can post everything I want here and no one will judge me for my content, and most importantly, I have no desire to chase a large number of followers

It sounds like a dystopia, but to a certain extent we are already living in it when we buy free time for money - vacations, travel, hobby etcโ€ฆ

Very subtle! The moment when fantasy becomes reality! And we turn such pedals not only here, but also in many other projects. It's scary when you think about it in that context. Thank you. I took it away.

I think it's a bit too much though when you to create content daily to be eligible as a content creator. A road to burnout indeed

Fantasy is fantasy, but now we really live in such a world. Many people feel so in this project, itโ€™s a direct way to burnout, but many people donโ€™t notice it

It feels this way especially when new users coming and itโ€™s getting harder to stay on same level without burning out. I m still trying to find balance. And yes FC user is full time job if you want to achieve something, like new followers and points.

It's right. I'm new, but I'm on FC every day. He made my life more interesting. But I also feel attachment and I don't want it to cause anxiety. That's why I try to take digital breaks and make time for in-person meetings. But now I thought โ€œmaybe I canโ€™t handle itโ€ and it didnโ€™t cause any negativity. 130 $degen

In my opinion, it is not even necessary to imagine here, the fact is on the face. In 7 years in the crypto world, I have not been so passionate about one project for so long. A lot of things have faded into the background.

Excessive abuse of any social media is addictive. The problem begins where we leave real life for virtual life. However, this takes a lot of time and energy. Definitely, you cannot allow yourself to burn out, it is important to be able to switch attention to your real life, fill it and invest time in loved ones.

We are already in this system, but instead of a bicycle and pedals, our phones and computers. Unfortunately or fortunately, technology has evolved to such a state that most of people's lives are spent on social networks. Earnings, entertainment, recreation. Dystopia, as it is.
