So far I haven’t seen the benefit over renting and then investing for myself 

Also know I’d want a townhome not house bc I am not trying to be doing yard work

The land argument I totally get, but I think the math behind home ownership benefits is very different today than it was 10 - 20 years ago

I personally don't need a lot of space either, and a lot of US homes are big for no reason

to me, owning a house has a sense of security 
seems like a safe investment 🤔
