Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents is hauntingly spot on. I remember, at 18 and kicked out, thinking to myself that life would be harder for me due to my trauma and upbringing but I wanted to try my best at life and not let it define me. It’s so frustrating realizing that it did shape me very much into who I am, reading exact descriptions of myself in these kinds of books. However being aware of this helps me give myself grace and continue to grow and be a better person in spite of it.

My family had dinner with my dad last year and randomly in the conversation he dropped "yeah sorry I wasn't always the best parent, I think I was sociopathic and a narcissist."
Like oh okay glad you got that therapy now at least lol
