thanks @spencerperkins.eth ! shadow plays nicely with existing subgraph providers via the shadow RPC :) and depending on how you're using your subgraph, you may be able to just write indexing logic directly in the smart contract and send the resulting shadow events directly to your database (which is maybe what you've heard about "replacing subgraphs")
