PSA: peer review is a LARP. there is good and bad research that is peer reviewed; there is good and bad research that isn't. but the % of bad peer reviewed research is too high for peer review to deserve its current layman-imbued legitimacy. how does a layman tell good science from bad? how i wish i had a good answer..
