This is what I noticed when I've seen China myself. Obviously it was just one visit, and otherwise only online interactions. But in my opinion, Western citizens today are more propagandized than Chinese citizens. I didn't know much about China 20 years ago, but I don't believe it was this bad in the West even after the Iraq invasion.

Does the "do nothing" in the meme includes the Ouighours, Tibet, Taiwan, Hong Kong, North korea and other "do nothing" type of interventions? 🙃 I agree with the US side of the meme, but the china one, come on... Also, the screenshot of influencers is funny. Typically, they wouldnt lift a finger for China if it wasn't for their beloved TikTok 🤣 They just mad somebody banned their favorite toy.

all of those Chinese geopol issues are bad, and generally come from some background of truth, but a) they are hugely overblown in magnitude when reported by western media and b) whether or not you even account for this overblown magnitude, they are all still, cumulatively, not even a blip on the radar compared to the last 70+ years of global US war crimes on behalf of the petrodollar... you could pick an individual day from each passing year where we've caused more quantitative harm to a single region or country than China has caused globally in a century

Do nothing refers to last 20y afaict. They don't do nearly as much re:Taiwan as US Intel apparatus paints them (although I can see them doing more if US threatens them even more)
