The Yupik peoples are a group of indigenous peoples of the Russian Far East and west, southwestern and central-southern Alaska. The Yupiks are included among the Eskimo peoples and are related to the Inuit and Inupiats. The $masks of the Yupik Eskimos are one of the most outstanding, characteristic and mysterious masks of the peoples of the North. Yupik could depict almost anything in a mask: a spirit, a deceased person, an animal, a kayak (boat), a household item. As a rule, these masks were belonging to male communities that could stand up for themselves. May examples of humanity inspire us every day! 🎭
