I’m not sure I fully understand but my take is so long as the training data existed after pretraining I think a way to reach it always exists after post training (regardless of ai safety etc) I.e you cannot make a model not say a forbidden word it knows

Merkle should probably just provide funding on the caveat of open community and no hate speech, death threats, etc— the symptom of this is just a few people like me not attending which kinda sucks— but I disagree with the high school popularity/community exclusion on principle hopefully next year is better and less intentionally dramatic. life goes on. Makes icebreaker look unprofessional imo

if the cost for lidar dropped to 100 as projected ($1000 today, was $10000) then i think it would be like $10-20k more in compute/hardware given that tesla still relies on human intervention for 8+ years since elon said it wouldn't, either bet seems reasonable
