friendly reminder that replies do matter thoughtful (not AI-generated) replies are how i built my community and friendships here early FC lore: for a long ling time, there was no quote cast, only recast and recasts were weighted less than replies because conversations are critical to building a social *network*

Some of the largest accounts here (that weren’t on the auto-follow list) have the follower counts they do, because of how thoughtfully and consistently they engage within their replies or in others’ casts. There’s a lesson in there, for sure.

some* is correct, but also recognize some of the largest accounts here are also relatively inactive but got a lot of followers from the auto follow list my cast was about my personal experience, not everyone’s. know and accept I’m not everyone’s cup of tea but I definitely did engage with others here.
