update: should have cut the lemon/ lime slices much thinner. They’ve been in the oven for several hours - now they’re dry on the outside but juicy on the inside

Learnings: when trying to dehydrate fruits, either cut them into blade thin slices or just do it in a dehydrator. Yes, there are such devices 

This has been a huge waste of energy but that’s part of the experiment

I remember building a dehydrator at a workshop organized by my design school, it was working with hot circulating air heated by fire and we in fact dehydrated some very thin slices of apple in like eight hours 🍏
