what would happen if there were no /warpcast rewards? I have to admit that 300/100 USD per week is very sweet, but only within the reach of very few. The ‘elite’ don’t stop quoting each other to increase their score; I only see monothema: warpcast rewards, leaderboard, quote me, push my score… It's even boring. I don't know if I'm the only one who feels this, but since I know that what I can reach is a maximum of 25 usdc, I do not cast more than 3/4 cast per day (21-28 per week).

Anything that can be farmed will be farmed 🤦 I can not break $25 but tbh I havent made it a goal to do so. It's just a bonus gained by my normal activity here. 🙂

I do know someone at the top of the leaderboard that's just there simply because she talks about the awesome things she's doing tho. But I agree that there are elite farmers trying to game the rewards system as we speak

I try to only quote if I want to pull something out of replies or have something meaningful to add that I want to bring in others to engage with (maybe once as a joke). Definitely not an elite but am very narrowly in top 30 at the moment.

It doesn't affect me I think. I got the 5$ twice, but I think I could get more if I made it a habit to do it during my evening time and early morning. I still believe it's a great incentive.

Yeah I 100% agree it's almost impossible to compete with the "Farcaster inner circle" so it does become a bit more tedious and harder to focus on more "meaningful or natural content". Any creator here that doesn't have those daily connections and friends with huge points boosts recasting or quoting them, has to work 10x harder and that dilutes their feed with recycled memes casts or past work (art/photography/nfts etc) I don't believe the biggest players in the rewards game are playing fair to an extent. I don't think it's impossible with the right content or genuine connections to make the top 100 but It's like a 1% chance or less to make it in the top 10

Which accounts are elite? What must they have to be classified as elite? How many followers must they have on average!? I.e. It’s true that since the rewards are around, it’s one more reason to be more active daily, however periodically these cycles of hyperactivity have been produced by some projects or tokens or orchestrated users, or something else in particular. The different now is that the leaderboard affects to everyone’s attention. Maybe we need a way to sign up for the rewards, and see who is doing the hyperactive stuff to get in the leaderboard and who is doing it because their own urgency to express themselves. Would you sign up for the rewards leaderboard if it were optional? And you @vlady 😝!? I know you would join with me 😊

as someone that doesnt care about rewards and as someone thats never gotten any it doesnt interest me in the slightest, i genuinely think half of the content from top casts are literal dog shit. i think as a builder it shows the incompetence of the leaders here, very dope ideas execution is always incompetent and weak. look at power badges good idea implementation terrible , spam label etc. can give millions of examples. the idea itself is great but man execution is just bad. i think the content and alpha here is genuinely sub par imo all the dope shit are in gcs the rest is all fake, i do like the photography of everyday life and shit is nice but idk everything here seems low effort compared to insta, tik tok and x. i come here only for my friends / community nothing else i
