very interesting experience going to my first crypto founder meetup in miami. exclusive, no +1s allowed, at a padel venue no less. hosted by metastreet x pudgy penguins

zero people were building on base, and no one opted to exchange farcaster info (usually TG/IG/X in that order). everyone did seem very excited about what they were working on – mostly defi / infra / NFT stuff on solana. lots of excitement around Abstract, pudgy's new consumer crypto chain. people were welcoming, driven, and eager to learn; no holier-than-thou attitude, long substantive conversations. everyone knew each other well and the community felt tight-knit. i did get asked several times why we were building on base. 

fascinating time. it's probably a miami thing? but i realized we're still in a bubble within a bubble within a bubble. anyone's ballgame.
