Please join the discussion, would love to hear your opinions: I'm constantly thinking about how to improve this platform for artists, collectors and art enjoyers alike. I kind of left Twitter/X for various reasons, since Musk took over and turned it into a propaganda machine. But whenever I return there for a quick update, my art feed is really top notch. Almost everybody who is active here, also posts or cross-shares frequently on X as well. But more important, a lot of artist I want to follow and I want to be informed about only post there (and maybe on Bluesky, Mastodon, IG as well, don't know). Point is, they all have a Farcaster account, but turned their backs on the platform at some point or never really got into it. I would therefore be delighted if they were to return and exploit Farcaster's potential.

Distribution primarily. X is still number 1 for eyeballs, esp if meme able art. Fc in contrast is much more cosy. Which may be better for more closed door type of work, eg sharing wips and asking for feedback. /higher to me has been functioning very much as a design collective where u can get quick design feedback and see others riffing on your work. For final products, I think u can beat x (unless very web3 native products leveraging frame v2)

It is of course completely illusory that you could even come close to keeping up with the significantly higher number of users and DAUs. Being the Twitter alternative has also been removed from the official strategy, so it remains to be seen whether the new one is any better. I can't really comment on that. What does surprise me, however, is that those artists who are particularly technically adept and affine have not taken advantage of the open and composable architecture. Always had a sweet spot for /higher, but have never really found my way into the community 🫣
