What is Henlo Kart and how does it tie in to Onchain Gaias? What is Onchain Gaias and how do the NFTs come into play? Henlo Kart, a hamster racing minigame, is the first of many games for the Onchain General Intelligence (OGI) Network, a decentralized platform that enables the creation, training, and deployment of open, decentralized AI Agents. Onchain Gaias are a gradually revealing set of hand-drawn characters depicted in a futuristic setting. Each trait pairing is specially crafted for each art piece by the artist, @antonmarrast. Every NFT in the collection is an onchain AI Agent Vault (AIAV).

Each AI agent utilized within the OGI Network is owned and controlled by the owner of an Onchain Gaia NFT and stored within their AIAV. Onchain Gaias are the stewards of the OGI ecosytem. They hold the keys to its future and stand to benefit the most from its success. All Gaias will benefit from the success of all games built on the OGI network. Architects benefit from owning and controlling the Foundation AI Agents trained and inferenced within Henlo Kart, while Citizens benefit from the growth of the ecosystem and near closer to training their own Fine-tuned AI Agents.

How does a hamster racing app train AI agents, and how would those AI agents be useful for anything? Every hamster race is an onchain transaction. Each hamster in the race is controlled by an AI agent, which updates its world model every time it makes an action in the game and learns from the outcome of that action. The first game and AI agents for the OGI Network are intentionally very simple. The goal of this iteration of the network is to prove the effectiveness of the distributed training framework, not to push the boundaries of AI.

Once the framework is proven to have PMF, the games and AI agents will be made more advanced by off-loading compute to an Eigenlayer AVS or a verified computation platform. From there, solving real problems and creating decentralized, open-source, permissioned models that solve useful problems is simple. You can imagine that a future game, instead of training an AI hamster to race on a track, would train an AI trader to profitably trade in a pvp world of memecoins and other AI agent traders. Or a different game, where an AI is trained to write code to solve complex puzzles. The agents that are trained to exceed in these games would be able to be used immediately onchain, for example to trade with an account on trading platforms like Moonshot or Prerich, or to write valuable business software, eg. within Devon or Cursor.

What is the AI and what is it doing? Does the AI do all the tasks or does it learn from human gameplay? In Henlo Kart, the AI Agent is controlling the hamster's race kart by taking an inference of the best next action from its world model, based on its observation of the current game state. This video by SethBling on YouTube is a great explanation of what is happening under the hood of the AI: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tnu4O_xEmVk After each action, the AI updates its world model to make better inferences. The AI in Henlo Kart is learning entirely from its own actions, though it is possible for future games to be more dynamic, enabling AI agents to learn from both human players and AI agents interacting in the same game world.

Why were papers launched as NFTs and why did people mint them? Two papers were originally posted on Zora, each with a mint price of 0.01 ETH. These mints served to gauge the community's interest in the ideas proposed in the papers. The first paper outlined the general idea for the Onchain General Intelligence (OGI) Network and the second laid out a complete framework. The Onchain Gaias community minted loads of the papers as a vote of confidence in the shared vision. These minters will be forever remembered as some of the earliest supporters of the network. Minting of community NFTs has been a common airdrop criteria in major past airdrops. The final paper is available for the next 24 hours and outlines the specific details of Henlo Kart: https://zora.co/collect/base:0x3a56ed006593740eb90e0dc9c45005933d27c8a2/3 All proceeds from the minting of this paper will go directly towards seeding the initial Future Billionaires Jackpot for the release of Henlo Kart.

Why was the project hyped early on, before all of the tech was completed? Without the community's support, The OGI Network would be useless upon release. The idea needed the support of the community to succeed and grow to its full potential, and it was not something that could be built over night. Most of the tech used within the Henlo Kart app was created specifically for the OGI Network. For example, all AI Agents are stored entirely onchain, including model weights and training algorithms, in a modular and composable way that anyone can build on top of. Agents use a custom bytecode framework to encode and decode advanced details into minimal storage and memory, which reduces gas prices and makes the AI feasible onchain.
