after speaking to my coach, we've decided it's best for me to return home from the training camp - so ill be flying back to the uk tomorrow morning it's been pretty difficult to train to the best of my ability while worrying about my grandad back home 😭 sigh i'm pretty disappointed that i didn't manage to have the camp experience i would've wanted but i know i will be much happier being closer to my family!

I don't know enough, but sounds like a good move. Athletes need life in harmony to the best they can to perform their best. Hope it's one of the twists that you look back on and say, "I wouldn't change it for anything."

I'm sorry you've had to make this decision... but I'm pleased you'll be happier. The amount of data we can gather on athletic performance is incredible... but it's still so hard to measure the impact of stress, anxiety, mental health, etc on performance... but also this seems like a good life decision as well. Safe travels! 15000 $HUNT

I’m so sorry about what you’re experiencing, I know you were really excited about the training camp, but family is so important and so it’s best for you to be close to your family and Grandfather. My grandfather had a health scare a few weeks ago and it was such a scary and worrisome experience till he left the hospital and got better so my heart goes out to you ❤️‍🩹.
