I love the $5 payouts 🙌 Except for the ease of paying with digital currency, there’s nothing inherently crypto native about it. A centralized platform competing with the big players would do the same thing- incentivize users to stay. It’s part of the “attract” phase of the attract-extract lifecycle. But since it’s on farcaster we have insurance against merkle turning evil on us some day- we can take our identities and social graph and go somewhere else. Anything being done to increase the chance of farcaster being a credibly neutral, sufficiently decentralized protocol that a billion people use- I’m here for it

Yeah this could be a catalyst for better content + new users If we start to see results, I wonder how much more are they willing to distribute

I like them too. It’s just an experiment too. If it achieves the desired result, who’s to say it stays at $5? I think it’s particularly neat that the first group who got it had a bunch of new casters too. Starting off right.
