I’ve been doing an annual ski trip with some college friends plus our kids for the past 6 years. One the one hand, it’s kinda lame to repeat the same trip every year when there are so many places on this globe to travel to. On the other hand, it’s such a special week, hanging in nature, without screens, burning more calories in a week than we normally do in a month, seeing how the kids embrace the adventure and how good they are on their skis and boards now. What a gift.

One thing I don’t love however is this trend I’m starting to see where the dads come out with their sons, and the moms go somewhere warm with their daughters 😕 We had a very (gender) balanced trip for years and all of a sudden this year it’s felt like I’m on a guys trip. Oh well. It is what it is.

I’m so thankful for the yearly trip I do with some friends! Ours is always tropical and in Mexico :) Glad you have something similar

Nothing lame about traditions! Stability and predictability are priceless in todays age of chaos

That's awesome...making multigenerational friendships. Way better than passport stamping for the sake of it, IMHO.
