I pre-ordered a camera designed to prevent deep fakes. It will digitally sign images using cryptography. You’ll be able to verify an image to determine if it’s been altered or is the true unaltered version. Excited to see this develop. I’ll share more when I use it.

We know public perception of crypto isn’t great. I’m excited for use cases like these that are easy (easier?) to explain and harder to just blanket reject.

this is very cool! i'm curious about the actual implementation. how does the camera itself verify that what was taken was legit? could someone feed in a fake photo directly through its API and get it signed? cc @july you probably have thoughts here!

Very interesting. I read something about how the way to possibly counter online poker AI cheating(it’s ruined online poker) is that poker websites will start making hardware that can verify proof of person. The future is gonna be wild!

Which one did you do with? Tons of momentum in this space. Largely driven by Adobe. CAI https://contentauthenticity.org/ is one of my fav initiatives (crypto wo the token)
