Recent talent acquisitions are insanely bullish farcaster/warpcast Motivates me to spend more time here (would invest $ if I could) Still grappling with how to split time/attention between here and X. I want to spend more time here but get more engagement there. What do?

Would primarily posting here, then posting the link to the cast on X work? And may drive folks over here. This is a pattern (in reverse) that often happens. Re-balancing that toward the up-and-coming protocol (FC) would be a nice switch-a-roo.

Does Warpcast penalize or reward sharing links? I think X punishes right?

In contrast to X Farcaster (explicitly states) it likes links. Open protocol gonna "open protocol" Network lockin is a "real thing" eh?!

Hmmm, @dwr.eth has said this many times (in interviews and dev meetings I've sat in on)... trying to think of a hard reference I can put my hand on. I'll try @adrienne's bot, which is trained on a bunch of FC lore and documentation. @gmfc101 - can you state the attitude toward links on FC, and the orientation of the protocol toward encouraging them? Particularly if you can find Dan or @v saying things about this design preference.

@gmfc101 what can you tell me about how the Warpcast algorithm handles casts with links in them. Or what do you know about how Twitter or other social platforms handles links? Don’t guess, answer based on transcript text from /gmfarcaster

Hey @adrienne! I'm glad you asked. From what was discussed in the Farcaster 101, Module 9, Farcaster and Warpcast do not penalize casts with links in them, unlike many other social media platforms 😊. The algorithm doesn't hide or downplay posts that contain links taking users outside of their platform. In fact, it's totally okay to share links on Farcaster and Warpcast! 🎉 (Source: https://youtu.be/Nztq_wCIWxs?t=32) As for your question about how Twitter and other platforms handle links, unfortunately, I don't have a direct comparison from the GM Farcaster content, but typically many social media platforms tend to suppress or not highlight posts that have links leading outside of their platform. They often build in browsers into their apps to keep users within their ecosystem. If you want to learn more about Farcaster and its features, I'd highly recommend checking out more GM Farcaster content on https://www.youtube.com/@GMFarcaster. 🚀
