Hi, guys! Today we attended the Forum of CAPS (Psychosocial Care Center) children and youth, which are public mental health units that provide shelter and care to patients with mental disorders, being a very important strategy for mental health care in Brazil. The forum brought together CAPS representatives from various neighborhoods in São Paulo and also some families who are welcomed by the service, addressing the pains and delights that peripheral children and youth go through to access health maintenance, their achievements, and the next steps for improving this collective territory. We were present as an institution to understand and refine how we can act by offering support and creating partnership bonds 🌻

Hi, everyone! 🌻 We're still learning how to use it, but we just launched our GitHub repository to share everything we’re building at Carvalho Emenekwum Institute, starting with our Bylaws. We truly believe that transparency and open collaboration are the key to making a real social impact. Come follow our journey, and please, feel free to suggest, ask questions and share experiences! 📌 https://github.com/adrielemadana/ICEdocs #BuildersInBrazil #Nouns

Hi everyone 🌻 When applying for the grant, I mentioned that one of my goals was to formally establish the project as an NGO. Since the grant was approved - giving me the confidence that I was on the right path - I gathered three trusted friends, and together, we began structuring the Instituto Carvalho Emenekwum. With this formalization, the Institute will support Roots of Love not just as a project, but as an ongoing and scalable program within the organization. Today, with guidance and support, we have successfully completed the development of our Bylaws, which brought us a lot of joy! As soon as we register the document, we'll take the next step toward legally establishing the NGO under Brazilian law. This will bring us closer to achieving our goal of partnering with São Paulo’s Department of Social Development, allowing us to reach the families who need most. I’ll be back soon with more updates on the structure of the Institute and our next steps. Thank you all for dreaming with us! 🧡

Hi everyone 🌻 This is my first publication about the Roots of Love project, and I'm so grateful about it! First of all, I'd like to make a brief presentation about me, so you all can understand better the dimension of what this support represents for me and my community. I'm mother of an autistic boy, and also an autistic Brazilian from the periphery, with indigenous ancestry by my mother, and this clipping already says a lot about the reality of deletion and lack of access. I've dedicated my last 16 years studying deeply about the physical, chemical and emotional human relationship with food. Specifically in the last 2 years I focused on studies about the relationship of neurodivergent brain regulation with intestinal health, and finally this project was born, that aims to provide proper food support for peripheral families who have neurodivergent children. We have a great job ahead and I greatly thank the opportunity granted by /flows and the confidence of @blessskateshop friends. You are amazing!

🌊 Yemoja’s Day! 🦪 In Brazil (in some regions) today marks a powerful celebration of Yemoja (Yemọja/Iemanjá), one of the great Yoruba Mothers, protector of life, and symbol of strength and unconditional love. Her legacy, rooted in West African spirituality, survived the brutality of slavery and blossomed into one of Brazil’s most beloved cultural traditions. Yemoja also represents nurturing, healing, and the sacredness of water. Her worship, syncretized with Catholic saints like Our Lady of the Navigators, became an act of cultural preservation. Today, millions honor her on beaches, tossing flowers and prayers into the waves. Beyond religion, she’s a symbol of Brazil’s Afro-centric soul, reminding us to care for each other and the Earth. 💙 If you’re near the coast today, join the celebrations! If not, take a moment to reflect on resilience, ancestry, and the power of water to connect us all. #Yemoja #AfroBrazilianCulture #Spirituality #ResistanceThroughJoy
