Your Story Is Your Brand ā€‹ I spent so much time focusing on tactics suggested by gurus...when I shouldā€™ve been focusing on my story. Your story -how you got here, -the challenges youā€™ve faced, -the lessons learned along the way-thatā€™s what makes your brand unique. People donā€™t buy products, they buy stories. They invest in the human behind the brand. The more you share your journey, the more people see themselves in it, and thatā€™s where loyalty comes from. Don't sleep on your story-itā€™s your greatest branding asset.

Token2049 is all about smoking, drinking, and collecting a ton of merchandise (with people collecting bags bigger than themselves). If you want to collect real value, the networking village is the place to be. The rest should attend quality side events, not just parties.

Can we admit that tracking the right KPIs is the game-changer of all time? As a marketing & growth guy with almost 4 yrs of experience in web3 space, i've learned that tracking the right KPIs can make or break the project. after countless campaigns/initiatives, failed experiments and 'why always me' moments, i've refined my approach to the below metrics that truly matter: = Acquisition metrics: understanding CAC and tracking website visitors helped me refine my strategy & target plus attract the right audience = Engagement metrics: watching community engagement rate soar is always an amazing feeling. by focusing on sm mentions, ugc, i built a vibrant community that felt invested in our mission = community growth metrics: keeping a track on growth rate can help you access the effectiveness of the outreach strategies & adjust accordingly = value metrics: in the defi space, tracking the tvl & market capitalization gives insights into user trust and market percepton, which is very crucial for the credibilty

As i reflect on my 3 year journey in web3 marketing, im reminded that this space is constantly evolving. while i don't claim to be an expert, ive learned valuable lessons through a lot of trial & error, and im eager to share them with you. learning 1: community is the real mvp. i used to think that content was king, but no, its the community that wears the crown. learning 2: authenticity beats the algorithms. web3 is built on transparency and trust. authenticity is a key to building credibility with the audience. be real and be honest and don't try to manipulate those algos. learning 3: web3 is not just about tech, its about people. there is so much tech in this space but at the end of the day, its about solving problems for real people. learning 4: dont just promote, do educate as well. web3 is complex and education is crucial. learning 6: collaboration is the new competition. seek out partnerships, collaborations and opportunities to work together. if you have made it this far, heartfelt thanks.

itā€™s high time to face it- people don't fall in love with products/ideas, they fall in love with people. and yet, so many web3 projects still sound like, well, projects. corporate jargon, buzz words, robotic tone, and a whole lot of soullessness. but what if your brand voice was different? what if it sounded like a real person, with quirks, flaws and a sense of humor? wouldn't that be someone you'd want to hang out with? when we make our projectā€™s voices sound human, we make them relatable and authentic. and that's when the magic happens. by adopting a humanlike brand voice, projects can create a more personal and emotional connection with their audience, ultimately driving loyalty, engagement, and growth.
