On March 20, reports surfaced that the SEC is investigating the EF One week later, the EF proposed changing Ethereum’s issuance curve and is loudly shouted down by the community Seems like pretty compelling evidence that the EF doesn’t control the protocol. Coincidence or strategic lawyering? I think the latter

1/2 For those who believe that the SEC will deny the ETH spot ETF in May, what is your best guess as to the SEC’s justification for the denial? Personally, I don’t see a plausible justification. The SEC already approved ETH Futures ETFs, so I don’t see how they justify denying a spot ETF of the same product.

Anyone here know whether transaction wrappers to collect taxes would be feasible? As more economic activity moves onchain, the gov is bound to get more insistent about getting its cut. Would love to hear thoughts about how that might happen

Ford CEO sent a letter to Red Bull Racing demanding information about the investigation and a “resolution we can all stand behind.” If RB isn’t telling their corporate partners anything, they probably don’t have anything good to say… Source: AP (see first comment)

Before Farcaster, users rented their online identity from some tech company by looking at ads. After Farcaster, you finally own your online identity. Literally no one can take your FID from you. And if you’re reading this, you have a very low FID. Congrats 🫡
