Easier said than done. The time is rarely found as much as it’s made out of necessity

🎯 spot on take. without good brand positioning (which many of these projects don’t have) they’re essentially DOA.

Our industry is caught in a death spiral, endlessly recycling the same users. We're shuffling wallets between projects. Each new protocol, chain, or dApp largely cannibalizes from the existing user base. The path forward is growing our addressable audience through emotional connection and brand resonance. connect emotionally with real problems people face. Is it really that hard to think that people beyond crypto see the need for a new Internet? Strong, approachable brands create cut-through. They build trust before understanding, making the learning curve feel worth climbing. Other emerging industries faced similar challenges but succeeded by focusing first on messaging impact and retention, not just technical superiority. Our brands need to speak human before they speak crypto. Or we just death spiral into oblivion. Shoutout @darkstar for sparking my thoughts on this.

You’re definitely right about dealers moving on to other drugs where a profit margin still exists.

The competition definitely changes the dynamics. There’s convenance of legal dispensaries vs. whatever custom approach a dealer can offer to gain loyalty. (I.e home delivery or bonus amounts for going with them over others) I do wonder how many dealers have shifter their tactics like that in the wake of legalization? Then again there’s always just people who are lazy and whatever is more convenient will win out over anything else.

The price for a gram had held steady for 20 years before it was legalized. Then legal competition drove the price down by a third on average

Tfw you have a grammatically dyslexic moment and only notice it after you cast, but it’s then recasted by a more popular account, so you decide to leave it alone.

Absolutely! It’s the puritans who feel threatened by change and push back the hardest at any instance of something that doesn’t pass their litmus test. That’s not to say there aren’t issues and nuances to debate, but people cast aspersions flippantly, and the literary world is one of the worst offenders.

The literary world has had frauds & hucksters long before ai entered onto the scene. We're now entering an era where if your prompt game is strong, it can open doors on multiple levels. No doubt, the slop will continue to exist and proliferate, but a good editor looks for strong points of view and style. Now, more than ever is there's an onus to separate the wheat from the chaff and surface it, regardless of the tool set.
