whenever i use big groupchat, i can never keep up beyond a certain point.

there was a product called threads that wanted to differentiate with threaded ui/ux away from slack to gain traction, but it did not end up succeeding.

maybe that is the limitation of text based conversation as a medium. alt is a 1:n like x or reddit - closer to discussion forums if done topically

I just felt threads was just a knock off version of X in a way lol

Maybe the solution isn't in better UI but in finding a whole new way to communicate beyond text.

Threads is dead because it was just copy and had no new ideas

we just need to find better way to communicate tbh ypou can't always rely on UIs

Threaded conversations try to help but can be complex

I feel text based group chats can be moderated
