Apparently my parents decided to get rid of their books when they moved because they didn’t have storage for them. A lifetime of books collected, 60 years worth, gone. Never do that.

books are for ego. when u gonna go back and read nancy drew and the hardy boys? i got rid of mine in my mid 20s also after moving. was like this is dumb.

I’m sure that can be true. I reread a lot of books more than once and definitely go back to books from childhood to find insight I missed. I really love how @polluterofminds of kinds just put it this morning. My dad shared about 0 of himself but he read a ton, those books were insight to him and they’re gone now
