vulnerable post: curious to hear, did any of you pick up extra work to pay for daycare? i currently have 3 jobs, 1 full time (which i'm currently on leave from), 1 part time and 1 freelance. my husband also has a full time job, but it's many more hours a week than my full time job, and he does a majority of our childcare before and after daycare. for financial context, we got pregnant w/ baby #2 summer of last year w/ fertility assistance (after struggling with infertility) while in a fiscally stable place and a month later, unforeseen circumstances eroded our resources through no fault of our own. i'm still working 2 of my jobs postpartum and my husband is already back at his full time job just two weeks after baby arrived. it's been rough! wondering if anyone else has gone through this and/or if you have any tips outside of budgeting (trust, we do this) to make daycare work in financially (and energetically) difficult times like these!
