Subscription fees like @cabin, taxes like Prospera, or a combination of both. The important distinction from nation states is that opting out of network states is low friction. So network states compete for their citizens' business to provide the best governance they can.

What about lotteries? They have been historically a great source of funding for public goods (examples: Great Wall of China, Ancient Rome reparations, U.S. War of Independence and post-independence infra). Best thing is that they rely on intrinsic motivation and not on any sort of coercion or enforcement (i.e. taxes)

It will depend on the project. At Theopetra we just bought a lot of land in Colorado. What i will do with my 5000sq is up to me. But it would only make sense to cooperate with my fellow citizens to collaborate on financing some ā€žpublic infrastructureā€œ
