I don’t often drink wine, but when I do, it’s because I’m cooking with it (and it’s usually a $5 bottle 😆).

The end product: vegan dirty rice. 

In traditional dirty rice, the dark color comes from browning chicken liver or gizzards. This one is made with tofu, and ingredients like tamari, thyme, sage, oregano, Worcestershire, onions, garlic, celery, green bell peppers, and a bit of red wine. 🍷 

The rice is cooked with the tofu and veggies in a blended mix of bay leaves, green onion, fresh garlic, fire roasted tomatoes, and water. 🤌🏻
