I need a term for that late-yak-shave feeling: you've gotten ~used to persisting on incredibly small doses of accomplishment and suddenly multiple large parts are ready to slot into place with minimal additional effort. After months/years of accomplishment drought, it's accomplishment monsoon.

Talked w/ someone who asserted that they'd experienced ego death caused by having to re-do significant amounts of PhD work due to faculty churn. I was aware of the concept, but hadn't ever heard someone claim it beyond some drug stories. Have you experienced what you think of as (non-drug) ego death?
