Tomorrow’s a banger: The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman

The Graveyard Book

Neil Gaiman retells The Jungle Book, but set in a graveyard. 

My 5yo and I listened to Neil Gaiman reading this on the way to school. The story template is great, the writing is exquisite, and Neil Gaiman is an s tier reader. 

Mowgli’s story is only a few dozen pages, but Gaiman expands Bod’s story into a couple hundred, which affords him room for a lot more subtlety, nuance, and character development. 

It’s better than the original. Five stars.
