CZ might be released two days before the official date this Friday because prisoners are often let out early if their release date lands on a weekend. A Binance spokesperson said they are pleased that Zhao Changpeng will be reunited with his family. CZ's lawyer stated that he does not want to give interviews on his release day. After spending around two months in a minimum-security prison in the California desert, CZ was transferred to a temporary shelter in Long Beach, where he was allowed supervised outings, including trips to the movies.
