I just got off a call with a top 5 band artist manager. Manager says: - “I’m so excited about the tech, but getting the band interested in crypto is like dragging a horse to water. How do I approach explaining it to them?” - What would you say?

The main concern is going to be blowback from the fan base if they aren’t already crypto skeptics themselves. Just lead with “easier ways to get paid and manage artist splits.” Find the Interdependence podcast episode with Bruno from Revelator.

I think, blockchains aside, the other angle is direct to fan relationships in a world where Bandcamp is at risk and CashMusic failed. If they are top 5, though, they honestly might be fine with the current centralized regime. And you can’t end run Ticketmaster or Spotify with alternatives, yet.

Maybe a fan focused Farcaster client would be interesting. With a @base settled artist-specific L3 loyalty token.
