The entire idea of “the creator economy” is no longer relevant. If you are human, you are a creator. Having good taste matters more than specific creative skillsets in an internet distribution driven era with zero friction to generate quality content. True or False?

True in regards to the internet, or at least it will be true within the next few years.

False IMHO. Good taste is a result of a process of making change. Otherwise it’s mimicry.

friction isn’t at generation level , it’s at the conception level. If everyone generates “quality” content then the bar for quality just sets a notch higher. Tiktok / YT democratised video, didn’t mean that everyone creating on tiktok became a breakout star. Power law continues to be relevant for this.

Extremely true! Internet, social media, and now with AI, we are all creating something everyday to share to the world. Unfortunately you cannot buy good taste or style.

If you are human, you can be a creator if you are willing to take risk… and imo taste is subjective, so while important to have taste similar to the majority, you can also found a niche market for your creations So somewhere in between for me

True but I'd say that taste doesn't matter either. It's all about who can get the most attention. Taste gets homogenized down to the lowest common denominator to reach the broadest audience.

We're all creators for sure. I look at it on an alchemical level in that we create through our thoughts. What we give energy to comes out as words and moves us in a direction towards manifesting what was once an idea, into physical reality. We're spellcasters. The big question is...where do those thoughts come from?

We are moving to a sharing economy. Where we share with the creators, the builders, and our frens and pham! Sofi at it’s best.
