i've posted about this before, but the top stories-like bar on the mobile app makes for a bad UX imo.

what makes it work for instagram is that you can tap right to go to the next story, but here, tapping on a circle and going back is the only way to be done with a channel. i feel that we're copying the wrong thing — this bar makes sense on instagram because consuming stories is a quick, passive activity. going through the latest channel content is more involved.

ideally we'd get rid of this bar. if not:

1. can we make it so that swipping left takes you from main to recent, then to the next unread channel?
2. can we add an all-channels circle in there?

ps: it's unclear to me whether the circle shows up if there is activity on the main channel feed, versus the recent feed.
