definitely think warpcast should be brutal in fighting farming as it betters itself as a product, leave the bare protocol to underlie everything and let any critics build a competitor or join your governance flywheel

This is a pretty interesting take I hadn't really considered. Maybe it never clicked for me because most governance tokens go asymptotically to zero, but that is mostly because the major use case for now is speculation.
