"Farcaster will become a hotbed for AI Agent development," said ai16z's @shawmakesmagic in a China interview. I believe this explains why the Eliza framework is actively integrating with Farcaster and offering bounties for bringing Eliza to Farcaster. He envisions "Farcaster as an AI Agent marketplace, offering diverse services with embedded payments." He's particularly bullish on AI agents within Frames, which can "embed payments or applications" enabling interaction and purchases. I strongly agree that Frames provide a compelling alternative to feeds for AI applications, offering a richer format and enabling virtually any AI agent. For instance, @buttrfly's chatbot uses AI agents for Frame V2-based conversations. Many other possibilities exist, especially those involving onchain interactions, which shows Farcaster's crypto-native nature. I look forward to seeing AI agents flourish on Farcaster.
