The thing I love the most about crypto is how it’s fundamentally an autodidactic arena. People might have degrees in programming, art, finance or nothing at all. Barring government restriction anyone can play the game, choose how they play it and generally speaking can choose their own adventure, come what may.

It’s a place where curiosity, research, conviction and risk taking are often rewarded, where a line cook might outperform Mark Cuban because they’ve put in the work. Where information asymmetry can favor a discord power user or white paper reader and not an old boys club.

In some ways it's a true meritocratic arena. Luck and connections play a large part (like everything else in life) but willingness to learn matters too.

And it’s so cross-disciplinary that people with any background can find an interest somewhere. It feels like a playground of so many different topics that mesh together and a place that attracts/creates polymaths
